Fall Photography

I haven't posted for an unholy length of time, and
I thought I'd show you some of my favourite shots that I've took this fall. The first is of my brother climbing a tree at my bus stop. It has amazing colours in october. The second and third were when I was in Montreal, me being the nerd that I am decided to take pictures of a cement wall. I'm sure I looked extremely stupid standing there with cars going by staring at a graffiti covered bridge pass, but I don't really care that much because I don't live there and a couple of weird looks from people in cars is okay. The third pic was through an aquarium at some fish in the biodome. I think they were piranas but they were really sparkly pretty piranas. I will post more later, but also, I have a new song that I like.
It's called Hayloft by Mother Mother.

Fun With Nail Decals

Today I was bored so I did Beatles nail decals. I am now going to give a step-by-step account of my adventures, and how to do your own.

Ingredients:
One can of Modge Podge.
Paper
A Printer
Ink
Nail Polish (For Sticking them on.)
Thumb tacks

1.Print off your picture.
In my case this is the album cover for 'A Hard Days Night' by the Beatles.

2. Cut out your pictures in the shape of your nails.

3. Paint them with Modge Podge on both sides and but them on the tip of your thumbtacks.

3. Wait for them to dry. (This may be difficult if you are impatient)

4. Apply using clear nail polish.
Finished!!!

Sorry, that picture was crappy.
Here is some music for your enjoyment.

My Mind Is Screwing Up My Summer Reading

I'm Free!!!
Well, summer's here and I am extremely happy. {However, I did lose the plug-in for my camera}
I was starting to read a book yesterday, and the character's names were incredibly british and common.
My continuing sixties pop culture obsession is getting out of hand. In one part of the book a person named Roger slams his flying machine into a guy named Eric's roof in the middle of the night. And then gets levitated off the roof and immediately falls into a rose bush. My mind somehow changed it into 'Roger Daltrey rams his flying machine into Eric Idle's roof at 2:00 am and wakes up Eric Idle who then uses magic to levitate Roger Daltrey down to the ground but then he screws up and drops Roger Daltrey into a rose bush. Then I had this weird mental image of Roger Daltrey looking really pissed with rose bramble stuck to his jacket and hair.

ALSO my uncle looks creepily similar to old Roger Daltrey.
{No, really! It's creepy!}
Imagine this guy landing on your roof.

Heeeeere's Roger!
Song in lieu of the summer vacation.
I know, Roger lurking in the water.

Sadness

PCVS is now officially closing.
I can't believe that the stupid conservative right wing trustees won.
The court case lead for some reason to the judge finding that closing the school was fine.
I think this decision might have been pushed forward a bit by bribes.
Probably.
This is extremely depressing.
I feel like blowing something up.

Note: I got these pictures off google images.

Post to confirm who is epic

I watched Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World and Pirate Radio last night.
Great movies, the both of them. I am going to my Nana's house this weekend,
and I may show one of them to my cousins.
Paul Mccartney
"I'm a moose!"

David Bowie.
This was the only none-creepy, young photo of him I could find.

John Entwhistle.
"No, I will never even let you come close to my damn bass, damn it."

*Note to all of you: I have not posted a picture of Charlie Watts because all of the pictures on google images are of him as an old man. If I showed you those you would think I was insane.*

AND {drumroll, please}
Eric Idle!
Please don't ask.

'Gold on the ceiling' by the Black Keys.

PS: Guess who lost their camera again?

Books+Guitar+Scarf

I have been reading a lot lately, and I recently started the hunger games (I'm so out of touch...) everyone was raving about it so I figured I probably set my expectations waaay too high, and finally I read it, and it was really good! Harry Potter is still, you know, EPIC, but the Hunger games was really hard to put down. Maybe that was why I finished it within two days.  I got it from the library (Ah, the library) and brought it back yesterday. There's a real waiting list on 'catching fire', 22 people (No lie!) So I checked out a bit more, much lighter reading. Scott Pilgrim. Another great book, I have no idea how many there are... I'm guessing seven. ALSO! Guess what I got? An acoustic guitar! Well, I got it fixed anyhow. We had this old broken guitar in the basement and I was going to get it fixed at the guitar boutique, but then dad said he'd pay for it. That was really nice of him considering the fact that it all came down to 70$. AND I *Finally* found my old Union Jack scarf that my mum got for me in England. It was at the bottom of my dresser, and it was hidden behind an ugly grey sweater, so I never thought of looking there.
Oh... and also at the library I bought a magazine. Called 'The epic gardener'. The epic gardener. WOW.
Here are some pics, and the earworm of today.

This song is dark, yes. But it was in gentlemen broncos.
Which is an epic movie and I suggest you see it.
Yup

Adventures in Ottawa

I went to see my uncle Doug and his family in Ottawa last saturday. I like Ottawa. The architecture is so pretty, and the downtown is really cool. We went to a record shop and a music store walking the dog, and I got 'Sgt. Pepper' on vinyl. Guess what I found in the sleeve other than the record? A vintage fanfare Beatles 'Sgt. Pepper cutouts' page from the sixties. SO COOL! I won't cut it out, though. I might frame it. Guess what my uncle has? A mandolin! I can play three chords on it now. Mandolins are fun.

I look really funny in this pic.

This was the music store.
Huge tree! I didn't know they could get so big!

This photo is sideways, but look at that house!
So cool.
The bounty of inside-the-sleeve!
P.S Guess who charged their camera?

Must... Have.... Now.....

This is an album that I need. I have been searching for it for the last year. I haven't found it. Grrrrrrrr..... Apparently it's really rare, but I need it so so so so so badly because it has my favorite songs on it.
David looks a tad transvestitey in this photo. Maybe because he is.
Not weird.... for David Bowie.

 This next photo is wonderful.
Guess who sent it to me?
Those who have met her will know.
Paula.

Earworm for today is:
(By David himself. Ha ha, coincidence.)
Great song, called DJ. At the very beginning it's weird, but then it's epic.

PS: I forgot to plug the camera's batteries in. Again.

Super dads

He's even got the pose on.

Sorry... I had to.
This post is only pics from online because my camera is out of batteries (Damn.) and I can't find batteries (Damn.) I don't want to pay for more batteries (Damn) and I'm to lazy to find the battery recharger. Which I lost. I will try very hard to find these important things, and hopefully by tomorrow I will have done it. Hopefully.
This has nothing to do with the post but I'm starting 'earworms for today' today's is this...

Isn't Donovan funny looking? :)
