Rasberries, Yarn Bombing and Other Fun Stuff

Our raspberry bush is blooming! {Do raspberries bloom?} I just thought I'd take some pictures before I ate them.

OH! Also I have two new discoveries!
1. Yarn bombing!!
Now, before you think I'm a liar and/or insane this is a thing! Yarn Bombing is like graffiti but you knit it first and then attach it to a gate or wall instead of using spray paint. Still don't believe me?  Go to  This Website and read up on it. This has inspired me to learn to knit. Here are some yarn bombing pics.

2. Snow man on 31 degree July day.
I actually saw one on a walk with my family.
I don't know where it came from.
I don't know how it stayed frozen.
I don't know how whoever did it got it there or kept it alive all winter.
It was just there.
In July.
On somebody's front lawn.
There you go.

My Mind Is Screwing Up My Summer Reading

I'm Free!!!
Well, summer's here and I am extremely happy. {However, I did lose the plug-in for my camera}
I was starting to read a book yesterday, and the character's names were incredibly british and common.
My continuing sixties pop culture obsession is getting out of hand. In one part of the book a person named Roger slams his flying machine into a guy named Eric's roof in the middle of the night. And then gets levitated off the roof and immediately falls into a rose bush. My mind somehow changed it into 'Roger Daltrey rams his flying machine into Eric Idle's roof at 2:00 am and wakes up Eric Idle who then uses magic to levitate Roger Daltrey down to the ground but then he screws up and drops Roger Daltrey into a rose bush. Then I had this weird mental image of Roger Daltrey looking really pissed with rose bramble stuck to his jacket and hair.

ALSO my uncle looks creepily similar to old Roger Daltrey.
{No, really! It's creepy!}
Imagine this guy landing on your roof.

Heeeeere's Roger!
Song in lieu of the summer vacation.
I know, Roger lurking in the water.

Awareness test

Okay, watch the video, do the test, then see what happens. (Trust me, it's funny.)
And I was at a university with my class overnight Monday to Wednesday, and in psychology class they showed this video, so I DO have a reason to post it.

Try the strange juice!+Bob Dylan's birthday

Went downtown with Anwyn after the garage sale. We went into our downtown '60s pop culture store, Fab, to get prints. The guy who works there {I think his name is John, or the much more awesome title 'fab guy'} After talking to fab guy and looking in his shop we headed down to Min's, our local asian food store, and bought lunch which was, by the way, spring rolls and strange-looking good-tasting strawberry-flavored Alo Vera juice. Then we had a photo shoot with the juice and later headed back to my house, where we watched a spandex-clad David Bowie hold a small child in the movie 'Labourinth'.
Anwyn models the strange juice.

Close up, the strange juice looked quite interesting.

On Sunday, me, Anwyn, and her two brothers, Rhys and Theo celebrated Bob Dylan's Birthday by eating cake and watching Concert for Bangladesh for the millionth time. Theo watched us make the chocolate zucchini cake very closely. {Theo is 4 years old}

Theo, intoxicated by cake icing.

Post to confirm who is epic

I watched Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World and Pirate Radio last night.
Great movies, the both of them. I am going to my Nana's house this weekend,
and I may show one of them to my cousins.
Paul Mccartney
"I'm a moose!"

David Bowie.
This was the only none-creepy, young photo of him I could find.

John Entwhistle.
"No, I will never even let you come close to my damn bass, damn it."

*Note to all of you: I have not posted a picture of Charlie Watts because all of the pictures on google images are of him as an old man. If I showed you those you would think I was insane.*

AND {drumroll, please}
Eric Idle!
Please don't ask.
Earworm of today.
'Gold on the ceiling' by the Black Keys.

PS: Guess who lost their camera again?

Must... Have.... Now.....

This is an album that I need. I have been searching for it for the last year. I haven't found it. Grrrrrrrr..... Apparently it's really rare, but I need it so so so so so badly because it has my favorite songs on it.
David looks a tad transvestitey in this photo. Maybe because he is.
Not weird.... for David Bowie.

 This next photo is wonderful.
Guess who sent it to me?
Those who have met her will know.
Paula.

Earworm for today is:
(By David himself. Ha ha, coincidence.)
Great song, called DJ. At the very beginning it's weird, but then it's epic.

PS: I forgot to plug the camera's batteries in. Again.

Super dads

He's even got the pose on.

Sorry... I had to.
This post is only pics from online because my camera is out of batteries (Damn.) and I can't find batteries (Damn.) I don't want to pay for more batteries (Damn) and I'm to lazy to find the battery recharger. Which I lost. I will try very hard to find these important things, and hopefully by tomorrow I will have done it. Hopefully.
This has nothing to do with the post but I'm starting 'earworms for today' today's is this...

Isn't Donovan funny looking? :)
